Please note that bot won't work with other settings! So if you have issues with using this bot, please
double check that your configuration meet requirements.


Chess bot requires a short setup. Please follow these steps:

1. Download archive with the program (trial version from website or full version, which you will get after purchase).
2. Unzip the entire folder to any location on your hard drive and launch ChessBot.exe from the folder. It's strongly recommended to launch the program using "
Run as administrator
3. Also you'll need a chess engine, we recommend to try Stockfish. Download archive with Stockfish here:
and unzip it to any folder.
4. Now go to main window of the bot and press "
Load engine
" button.
5. Specify path to the chess engine's exe-file ("stockfish-9-32.exe").
6. Now bot is ready to work.

How to play

1. Launch the program.
2. Load a chess engine (if this is the first run; if not - it will be already loaded).
3. Choose the website where you going to play from the dropdown list.
4. Go to website, make sure that chess board is fully visible.
5. Press Alt+W to start game as white or Alt+B to start game as black.
6. After game is over, press Alt+X.
Note that you should press Alt+X after every game to unload chess engine from memory.

Important: game can be played from the start position only. Only for and you can play the game from random positions. Press Ctrl+Q to continue game from position as white; CTRL+W - as black.

Supported websites

ChessBotX support most popular chess websites. However, program can recognize only specific boards and pieces. So please check required settings for website, where you want to play, by choosing it from the list below. Alternatively, you can check this page.

For most websites it is strongly recommended to turn off board coordinates, turn off animations, arrows etc.
